Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban Celebrate 16th Anniversary with Throwback Photo: ''Like It Was Yesterday'

In honor of the happy occasion, Nicole Kidman chose to share a beautiful image, much to the delight of her fans.

Nicole Kidman celebrated her 16th wedding anniversary with Keith Urban by posting a rare photo from their wedding, enthralling fans. She also posted a lovely message for her husband on their sweet 16, reported HELLO. She captioned the picture "Sweet XVI ❤️ Remember this like it was yesterday. Forever 🕯❤️." The photo featured the couple lighting candles during their wedding ceremony in a church in Sydney. Nichole can be seen wearing a bridal gown — a Balenciaga creation, made for her by Nicolas Ghesquière, featuring a statement puff sleeve on one shoulder, and trimmed with delicate ruffles while Urban chose a classic black suit.

Urban also celebrated the special milestone with a more recent photo of the pair on his grid, writing to Kidman: "HAPPY SWEET 16 BABY, xxxxx"

In recent times, the couple has been seen sharing happier moments of their time on social media. They haven’t been without any conflict during their relationship, which began when they first met at G’Day LA, a Hollywood event that honors Australians. Back in April, Urban spoke candidly with Sunday Times about how influential his wife’s encouragement was in his long battle with alcoholism. When he first checked in for treatment in 1998, a few months after marrying Kidman in 2006, he returned to rehab at her insistence. “My dad was an alcoholic, so I grew up in an alcoholic house and it took me a long time to believe I was wired the same,” shared Urban. “I had to find a different way to be in the world. I’m glad it didn’t change anything about my music. I wrote plenty of hit songs while drunk. I wrote plenty sober. I feel lucky it hasn’t defined my creativity.”

Over the years, the two have often supported each other at their respective celebrity events, often attending premieres and award shows. The actress and singer celebrated their anniversary a month after Nicole made a surprise appearance onstage at Keith's concert at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. "What's your name?" Keith asked her jokingly. "Where are you from?" The actress sweetly replied, "Nicole Urban."

Kidman and Urban first met in January 2005 at the G'Day USA gala, and quickly fell in love. Three years later, they welcomed their first child together, Sunday Rose, 13, followed by their second daughter, Faith Margaret, 11. Earlier this year, Nicole gushed about her relationship with Keith during an interview with CBS Mornings. "I met him later in life and it's been the best thing that's ever happened to me," she said. "The Big Little Lies" actress was previously married to Tom Cruise, and it wasn't until four years after their divorce that she met Urban at age 38. "That man is the best thing that's ever happened to me." Now, the couple has two daughters together: Sunday Rose, 13, and Faith Margaret, 11. Kidman also has two children, Connor, 27, and Isabella, 29, from her first marriage to Tom Cruise, which ended in 2001.
