"Chromatica" is named after the singer's sixth studio album.
A fabulous cookie is born. Lady Gaga and Oreo fans are in for a sweet treat. The iconic singer has partnered with Oreo to release limited-edition cookies inspired by her feel-good dance album Chromatica. Did you know that the first Oreo cookie was created in New York way back in 1912? Well, now the company now produces 40 billion cookies a year. And with this new collaboration, this line might be the most glamorous cookie yet from the brand.
We think they taste like dreams with a little bit of love thrown in 😊 But they'll be the Golden cookies with our original creme filling in a beautiful green color!— OREO Cookie (@Oreo) December 2, 2020
The vanilla-flavored cookies are bright pink with green crème filling and also contains various embossments inspired by the pop star's recent album. The line will be available in six-cookie packs. Fans can sign up for the "Lady Gaga x Oreo Stan Club" next month to be notified when the full-size packs are officially available, a spokesperson for Oreo told CNN. The singer, 34, posted a fun video of her opening the Oreos on social media with her French Bulldog Koji to announce the collaboration.
"This collab is inspired by the world of Chromatica, where kindness rules all things," said Lady Gaga in a media statement. "I love these pink cookies with green creme, and hope they brighten your day as much as they do mine!” According to TODAY, a representative for the brand said that the Gaga-themed Oreo cookies are "pink-colored Golden Oreo cookies with green colored creme and feature three Chromatica-inspired cookie embossments." They will be available in January till stocks last. The Lady Gaga x OREO Stan Club will launch on December 2 and inform fans when the cookies officially drop. The first 1,000 people to join the club will receive a free package of the Gaga-themed Oreos once they are available.
That's not all! The pandemic has been a difficult time and a lot of us are probably feeling isolated and more alone than ever. In an effort to "spread musical messages of kindness throughout the country," Lady Gaga and Oreo has announced "Sing It With Oreo," a campaign that encourages fans to send musical messages to loved ones. The promotion is launching on December 15 through which people can send uplifting "OREOgrams" to loved ones and enter to win various Lady Gaga prizes and experiences.
You can even win the grand prize flyaway concert and a meet-and-greet. To join in, all you have to do is scan the QR code on the pack of specially marked original Oreo cookies or the new Lady Gaga Oreo cookies or go to SingItWithOreo.com. "Whether it's to show support, share affirmations, well wishes or congratulatory messages, Lady Gaga OREOgrams are designed to inspire kindness," Oreo said. "Together with Lady Gaga, we cannot wait to unleash her world of Chromatica on our Oreo cookie and encourage fans to spread musical messages of kindness to create a brighter and more connected country," said Justin Parnell, Senior Director of Oreo in a press release.
Oreo is also pledging to sponsor Lady Gaga's non-profit, the Born This Way Foundation. The foundation helps support the mental health of young people and was started in 2012 with her mother, Cynthia Germanotta.
