Sharon Stone, a concerned aunt, is urging everyone to keep her nephew in their prayers after his hospitalization. On Friday, the 63-year-old actress shared a heartbreaking picture of River Stone, who is also her godson, lying in a hospital bed with several tubes and wires around his body. "My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w total organ failure today," explained the Basic Instinct star. "Please pray for him. We need a miracle🤍💥🙏." According to PEOPLE, Stone did not provide any further information about the child's health condition.
Soon after Stone posted the request on Instagram, people began sending their love and prayers for the little one. Hollywood stars like Kate Hudson and Leslie Jordan took to the comment section to show their support. "Sending light and healing love," wrote Hudson, alongside prayer and heart emojis. "Stay strong little River. Sending you all my love and prayers. 💕," shared Leslie Jordan. Russian-American actress Olga Fonda expressed, "🙏🏻❤️ so sorry to hear that. May his recovery be easy and fast. Sending lots of love his way ❤️ 🙏🏻."
Surely, this news has devastated Stone, a mother of three sons- Quinn, 15, Laird, 16, and Roan, 21. The actress takes her role as a mother very seriously as in 2017, she opened up about her struggles with the process of becoming one and how it was finally achieved through adoption. "Motherhood didn’t come easily, but it came lovingly to me by angels. We’re a happy and lucky family. That is the credo we stand for," said Stone while accepting the Mother of the Year Award at 2017's Associates For Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies (ABCs) Mother’s Day Luncheon in Beverly Hill. "We have a choice about what we teach our children — we have to stand tall and say yes to love," she added.
The award was fittingly presented by her three children. "My mother deserves this award. I love you mom," said Laird during his speech while Quin added, "She is loving, caring and a great person." When it was Roan's turn, he shared the best piece of advice that his mother has given him. "[It] is to treat others the way you would want to be treated and to put your best foot forward," said the young man according to PEOPLE. Stone was quite touched by her kids' self-written speeches and she thanked them for being an integral part of her life. "I’m grateful my kids chose me, I am a lucky mom," she said.
Stone has been very private about her children but she has previously admitted that she "always wanted a large family." Being a single mother can be challenging and shortly after adopting Laird, she told PEOPLE, "I multitask … I have more love, help, friendship and kindness than at any other time in my life." Back in 2018, she told the outlet, "This is a very good period of my life right now—my life is happy." Opening up about her life with kids, she told the outlet, "I live in the same house I’ve had for 25 years, and I feel happy waking up in my house with my kids."
"They’re at a wonderful age when we don’t have to have a nanny living with us anymore. I can wake up on a Saturday and I come downstairs, and they’re playing and we hang out. We swim, play basketball, we watch movies. We have such a lovely family dynamic," she said, adding that she had learned a lot on the way. "It takes work and time and years and effort." That being said, she acknowledged that being a single parent is piece of cake. "When you decide to take on this big adventure of being a single parent, you don’t know what it’s going to be like. You think, how am I ever going to do this all? It’s just a lot. Even with the help that we’re so blessed to be able to have, your hair’s still going down the drain in the shower. It’s just a lot."
