Willie Nelson Will Get Back On The Road With A 14-Stop Tour Starting This Summer

The Outlaw Music Festival Tour will be headlined by the 88-year-old country legend.

Legendary Willie Nelson is getting back on the road again with a 14-stop tour starting this summer, reports WZTV. The Outlaw Music Festival Tour will be once again headlined by Willie Nelson. Others who will be joining in include Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, The Avett Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Gov’t Mule, Lucinda Williams, Ryan Bingham, Margo Price, Yola, Kathleen Edwards, Ida Mae, and more. "The Outlaw Music Festival Tour has always been about family and friends coming together for a great day of music and fun, and with the amazing group of artists joining us, this year promises to be our most special Outlaw Tour to date. I just can’t wait to get back on the road again," said the 88-year-old country icon.

The festival made its debut in 2016 in Scranton, PA.  Musicians like Robert Plant, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Eric Church, Bonnie Raitt, Luke Combs, Sheryl Crow, Sturgill Simpson, The Avett Brothers, and others have been a part of the Outlaw Tour. The artists have shared music memories and unique vendor villages with local food, drinks, and shopping in Live Nation amphitheaters across the country. The festival now one of North America's biggest annual touring franchises, according to Blackbird Presents.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 27th, at 10 a.m. local time. Find ticket information here. For more details on The Outlaw Music Festival Tour, go here.

And before you hit up the fest, make sure you're vaccinated. The musician went to a drive-thru clinic to get his shot earlier this year. According to PEOPLE,  he and his wife Annie Nelson, 64, registered together to receive their vaccinations from Family Hospital Systems in Texas. The organization wrote: Thank you Willie Nelson for helping Family Hospital Systems slow the spread of COVID-19. "He was bragging yesterday after he got it that he didn't even have a sore arm," said Annie according to Rolling Stone. "Now, today, of course his arm is sore. We're both just a little tired. I don't know if we wouldn't be tired anyway, but we're gonna do what they said and let the vaccine do its job." She added, "We’re lucky. We made sure that [he] wasn’t cutting anybody — in fact, the healthcare workers were kind of angry that we had waited so long because he is 87 years old and has COPD."
